50 PLUS Ministry
In 50 Plus Ministries, our goal is to find encouraging ways to engage with all adults in the church who are 50 years of age and older. We focus on care for one another, service within the community, fun events and outings, and fellowship together. 50 Plus congregants can be broken down into groups in several ways. We seek to meet folks where they are. Each member is valued and cared for at his or her particular station in life, whether that be late-in-life parenting, retirement age, empty nesting, finding oneself widowed, avoiding isolation, or otherwise. We invite new members and the input of everyone, and welcome you to join us at the table. Browse the 50 Plus events and ongoing ministries below:
Book Club
The Book Club has selected "The Professor” by Robert Bailey. Another Alabama author, and his first book in a series of 'Grishamesk' type legal thrillers. Discussion will be July 14. Join the members in the 50 Plus Lounge on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 11:00 AM.

Lunch with Friends
Lunch with Friends will meet at 11:30 AM on Monday, July 13, at Sweet Creek Farm Market, 85 Meriwether Rd, Pike Rd, AL. Join the group for a fun time of food and fellowship.

Stimulate your Brain
For the month of July, games will be played on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, from noon to 2:00 PM, in the 50 Plus Lounge. Note that this is a change from the usual Friday

Senior Exercise
50+ Exercisers will not meet during the month of July. Join us in August to stretch and stay in shape! Exercise classes are every Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the 50 Plus Lounge. Contact: Leona Stemple at pcgal63@gmail.com
Mahjong in the Lounge

Fiber Friends
Fiber Friends is an open gathering for sewing/knitting/crochet and fellowship. Join on the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Friendship Room of the Fellowship Building.

Like to work jigsaw puzzles? There are puzzles to be loaned out in the 50 Plus Lounge, in the closet on the south end. Help yourself. Need something different to read? Borrow a book from the 50 Plus Lounge bookshelf. There are many interesting options!
