The UMW invites the women of FUMC Montgomery and their guests to attend the end of the year luncheon and program, as we enjoy live music from J.R. Skelton and The Easy Walk Gospel Band. Lunch is $8. Register at the reception desk or contact Linda McIntyre at 334-546-3029 or at email@example.com.
The Pancake Run for Missions course runs through Old Cloverdale, one of Montgomery’s most scenic neighborhoods. Proceeds from this year’s race will help sponsor the adult mission trip(s) to the Florida Panhandle for hurricane relief projects and the youth mission trip to Costa Rica to work with Rice and Beans Ministries.
All race participants enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast after they cross the finish line! Non-runners may enjoy pancakes for a $5.00 donation.
Packet pickup begins at 6:30 a.m. on day of race. Our 5K starts at 8:00 a.m., 1 Mile at 9:00 a.m. and the Tot Trot begins at 9:15 a.m. All day of race registrations will end 15 minutes prior to start of race. Following the 1 mile race an awards ceremony will be conducted in the Fellowship Hall for both races.
Join OXYGEN for a hike at Flagg Mountain in Coosa County, near Weogufka, on Saturday, May 18, from 8:30am-4:00pm. Flagg Mountain is the last 1000 foot mountain in the Appalachian chain, is the southern terminus of the Pinhoti Trail and is on the Alabama Birding trails list. Travel time to the site is 1.5 hours/76 miles. We’ll meet at the FUMC south parking lot to ride the church van (limited seating/registration required) or caravan together. Pack a lunch and enjoy this unique former Civilian Conservation Corps project, including a stone tower and cabins built in the 1930s. All ages are welcome!
